You are having trouble connecting your smartphone to your EXTEL Connect monitor
Here is a quick and easy procedure to connect your smartphone to your EXTEL Connect monitor.
First, you’ll need to check the monitor’s connection status.
Wake up the monitor by clicking once on the icon
Enter the monitor settings menu by clicking a second time on
Navigate the menu by pressing twice so that the wifi icon lights up orange.
Then click on to enter the settings menu.
Make sure that the monitor’s connection status represents
If not, click on to reset the monitor’s wifi.
Step 2: Smartphone association
Please take your smartphone and launch the EXTEL Connect application (downloadable free of charge from your smartphone’s application store).
Make sure your device is not already present in the application and click on add device.
If your device is already present, you need to delete it. Select your device, then click on settings and then delete device.
Click on “My device is not currently connected to the Internet”.
Click on “EXTEL CONNECT
Scroll down the application window and click “Next”.
Turn the monitor over to access the back and its QR code, and click “Next”.
Scan the QR code in the monitor’s connection status menu
If you have difficulty scanning the QR code, please improve the surrounding lighting and move slightly away from the QR code to improve focusing.
If the QR code is correct, the application should find your monitor. Click on “Add”.
ATTENTION, the EXTEL Connect intercom is only compatible with a 2.4Ghz wifi network. Please make sure your smartphone is connected to this type of wifi.
Please ensure that the name of your internet box is entered in the second line. In our example, it’s called Livebox- 2.4Ghz
If no internet box appears, please make sure that the EXTEL connect application is authorized to use your smartphone’s geolocation and that your smartphone is connected to your internet box’s wifi.
In the second line, please enter the wifi key of your internet box manually. (Make sure it’s no more than 18 characters long).
Step 2.1: Where to find the ORANGE operator Wifi key
LiveBox 4 = The wifi key is visible by clicking on the i on the front of your Livebox.
LiveBox 5 = The wifi key is located on the identification card and also on the label on the back of your Livebox.
LiveBox 6 = The wifi key is visible in the Wifi settings accessible from the front screen.
Step 2.2: Where to find the SFR operator Wifi key
SFR NB6/NB7/NB8 = The wifi key is located on the label on the back of your SFRBox.
Step 2.3: Where to find the Bouygues operator WiFi key
Bbox Miami/ 4K = The wifi key is located on the label on the back of your Bbox. It’s the code on the WPA line.
Step 2.4: Where to find the Freebox operator Wifi key
Freebox Delta/Pop/Révolution/mini/One/4G+/Crystal
Please download the “Freebox Connect” application available on the AppStore and Google Playstore.
Select your Freebox model and log in.
Your Freebox wifi key is located in the “My wifi access” menu.
Step 3: Connect your smartphone to the monitor
This message will prompt you to connect your smartphone to your monitor.
Reduce the EXTEL Connect application and go to the Wifi settings on your smartphone.
Your smartphone must detect a Wifi transmitter named UID…
Special case IOS.
If you’re using an IPhone, please temporarily set deactivate to “cellular data” and “never” to “auto connect to shares”.
You can reactivate these functions once your monitor is online.
Android special case
On some Android interfaces, it may be necessary to temporarily deactivate “mobile data” and “switch to better WiFi networks”.
You can reactivate these functions once your monitor is online.
Connect your smartphone to the UID monitor…
If you see an indication that there is no Internet access, please validate the connection.
Your smartphone must no longer be connected to your Internet box, but must be connected to the monitor.
If your smartphone prompts you for a password, please enter the password present in the monitor’s login interface beginning with cg… (in our example, the password will be cg115d60c6).
Make sure your smartphone is connected to the monitor’s UID (an indication that there is no internet connection will be displayed).
Then return to the EXTEL Connect application
Back in the application, press “Next”.
Step 4: Connect your monitor to your Internet box
Your monitor will try to connect to your Internet box.
A countdown will appear on your smartphone.
During this countdown, please check the wifi status of the EXTEL monitor.
If, at the end of the countdown, the second icon is still flashing, this means that a wifi error has occurred (non-compatible wifi or wifi key entry error).
If you haven’t made a mistake entering the wifi key, a display will appear with Matching successful.
Please enter a user name for the device. This will be the name under which the device will appear in the application.
Click on “Save”.
Please enter a personal password to secure the device in the “NEW” and “CONFIRM” lines.
This password must be made up of numbers only (please note that no two identical numbers should follow each other, e.g. 11,22,33, etc.).
The device’s default password is 123456 and cannot be used.
Then click on “Confirm”.
Step 5: Function check
The monitor is now saved and will appear under the previously saved name.
Please select it to view live outdoor video.
The association is over.
Bonus step 6: Adding the monitor to another smartphone
Take the second smartphone and launch the EXTEL Connect application (downloadable free of charge from your smartphone’s application store).
Make sure your device is not already present in the application and click on add device.
If your device is already present, you need to delete it. Select your device, then click on settings and then delete device.
Click on “My device is already connected to the Internet”.
Click on “EXTEL CONNECT
Click on “QR Code Scan”.
Scan the QR code in the monitor’s connection status menu

If the QR code is correct, the application should find your monitor. Click on “Add”.
Enter the password you defined in step 4, then click on confirm.

Click on “Save
The monitor is now saved and will appear under the previously saved name.
