Replacement of the electronic video card EXTEL COMPACT

The screen of your EXTEL COMPACT does not display any image and the screen remains blue. The replacement of the electronic video board of the door station will be necessary. Here is a tutorial that allows the replacement. Important: Before any intervention or maintenance, please turn off the power to each part of your video doorphone and place yourself on a suitable surface so as not to scratch the lens

Phillips screwdriver, plastic spatula, precision pliers

Tutorial steps:

Step 1: Location of screws

Turn the door station upside down
Unscrew the 6 Phillips screws with the screwdriver

Step 2: Opening the door station

Unscrew the rear panel by levering it with the plastic spatula and lift it gently.

Step 3: Disconnect the video circuit board

Remove the connector from the video PCB using the precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the cables

Step 4: Remove the back panel

Rotate the rear panel of the door station by 180°.
Remove the connector from the Infrared leds using the precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the cables

Step 5: Remove the infrared module

Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the infrared module using the Phillips screwdriver
Remove the infrared module

Step 6: Remove the video circuit board

Unscrew the 4 Phillips screws of the video module with the Phillips screwdriver
Remove the video module

Step 7: Reinstall the video circuit board

Reposition the new video module. Pay attention to the direction of the tube (make sure that the tube is on the top)
A cover may be present on the lens, remove it
Make sure the cables are routed properly. The video module cable must exit from the right side

Step 8: Attach the video circuit board

Screw back the 4 Phillips screws of the video module

Step 9: Reinstall the infrared module

Reposition the infrared module
Make sure the cables are routed properly. The cable of the infrared module must exit on the left

Step 10: Connect the infrared module

Reconnect the infrared module, the connector has a coding device

Step 11: Connect the video circuit board

Reconnect the electronic video card, the connector has a coding device.

Step 12: Finalization

Close the rear bracket. Be careful not to pinch or damage the wires.
Tighten the 6 crosshead screws.
The replacement is complete.
