Replacing the electronic board of intercom panel Philips WelcomeEye Connect 3

Your intercom's intercom panel no longer works or rings It will be necessary to replace your intercom panel motherboard. Before carrying out any work or maintenance, please switch off all components of your video doorphone, and place yourself on a suitable surface to avoid scratching the lens.

Materials needed:

Phillips screwdriver, BTR 1.5mm, plastic spatula, precision pliers, graphite contact paste

Tutorial steps:

Step 1: Remove the front panel

  • Position your intercom panel to gain access to the underside.
  • Use the 1.5mm BTR screwdriver to tighten the safety screw.
  • Turn the screwdriver anti-clockwise to tighten the safety screw.
  • ATTENTION: The safety screw uses a left-hand thread.
  • Remove the front panel

Step 2: Remove the rear panel

  • Turn the intercom panel over and, using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the 8 screws at the back of the intercom panel.
  • Be careful not to mix up the screws; the center screws are longer.

Step 3: Dismantling the circuit board

  • Gently disconnect the microphone connector by pulling it upwards with precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the wires.

  • Carefully disconnect the loudspeaker connector by pulling it upwards with precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the wires.
  • Carefully disconnect the connector from the RFID reader by pulling it upwards with precision pliers. Be careful not to pull on the wires.
  • Disconnect the interface connector from call button by pulling it upwards. Do not pull on the wires.
  • Remove the 4 Phillips-head screws holding the motherboard in place. intercom panel
  • Insert the plastic spatula into the lower part of intercom panel and gently pry out the motherboard from intercom panel.

Step 3: Replacing the circuit board

  • Before repositioning the new circuit board, please check that the graphite paste (black paste) on the connection contacts is still present.
  • In case of absence, please reposition slightly without abusing it (see photo).
  • Replace the new circuit board in its slot.
  • Make sure that the 4 connection wires are well inserted into their housings and are not pinched.
  • Make sure that the protective wire is correctly repositioned on the top left screw.
  • Tighten the 4 screws holding the circuit board in place.
  • Then reconnect the 4 connectors for the microphone, speaker, RFID reader and call button.

Step 4: Closing the intercom panel

  • Make sure the gasket is correctly seated in the groove on the rear face of the intercom panel
  • Tighten the 8 Phillips screws on the rear of the intercom panel.
  • Note that the center screws are the longest.
  • Reposition the front panel of the intercom panel
  • Position your intercom panel to gain access to the underside.
  • Use the 1.5mm BTR screwdriver to tighten the safety screw.
  • Turn the screwdriver clockwise to tighten the safety screw.
  • ATTENTION: The safety screw uses a left-hand thread.
  • The replacement is complete
